Supergirl Fans Think Jason Momoa’s Lobo Is Fighting Her in New Set Video

Some fans think that the first look at Jason Momoa as Lobo in his suit has been revealed in a brand new clip from the set of Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. However, there is currently no confirmation that the person seen in the video is actually Lobo. The actor’s casting as Lobo in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU was unveiled in December last year. Previously, Momoa played the role of Aquaman in the DCEU.

Did Jason Momoa’s Lobo get spotted in costume in Supergirl’s set photo?

A new clip from Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow’s set was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by @DCUSupermanNews, in which fans think they spotted Jason Momoa as Lobo for the first time.

However, the clip is blurry and taken from afar, which makes it difficult to tell whether it is Momoa’s Lobo. In the clip, the figure presumed to be Momoa is seen standing atop a possible armored vehicle along with Milly Alcock’s Supergirl, who is also in her comic-accurate suit.

While the video’s quality makes it hard to know if it’s Momoa, the physical build of the person appears to match the actor’s. The person in the video is also seen holding an axe, which is different from the weapon that Lobo uses in the comic books. In the comic books, Lobo uses a Chained Hook weapon. However, it’s possible that his weapon might’ve been changed to an axe for the movie. Momoa has shown off his affinity for throwing axes several times in the past.

Jason Momoa spoke to Jimmy Kimmel about playing Lobo in the Supergirl movie and said, ”I have every Lobo comic. He was my favorite. I thought I was going to be playing Lobo when Zack Snyder called me. Because it was Batman vs. Superman, and they needed to have a villain in there.”

Shooting for Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is taking place in London, and the film is expected to be released on June 26, 2026.
