Sinners’ Michael B. Jordan Finds Next Horror Movie
Ahead of the theatrical release of Sinners on April 18, Michael B. Jordan has officially found his next horror project in the form of The House of Last Resort, based on bestselling author Christopher Golden’s 2024 high concept horror novel.
After acquiring the movie rights to the novel, Jordan has signed on to serve as a producer through his production banner Outlier Society. In Sinners, Jordan will be playing the dual roles of twin brothers Smoke and Stack, who discover that their hometown has been taken over by powerful sinister force.
What is Michael B. Jordan’s next horror movie about?
“The House of Last Resort follows a young American couple who relocate to a Sicilian hill town, where the mayor is selling abandoned homes to foreigners for a single Euro in an effort to revitalize the faltering community, in a move reflective of a recent real-life trend in Italy and other countries. Soon, they learn their new home has walled-up catacombs beneath it, whispers in its walls, and a dark history,” reads the synopsis for the novel.
The adaptation will be written and produced by Golden (Hellboy: The Crooked Man). Besides Michael B. Jordan, the movie will also be produced by Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society, and Peter Donaldson for Donaldson Media. At the moment, the project has no distributor, director, and cast attached to it yet.
Besides Sinners, Jordan will also next be seen in another high-profile horror movie I Am Legend 2, which will see the return of Will Smith’s character from the 2007 post-apocalyptic thriller movie. He is also developing the fourth installment to his boxing drama franchise Creed, which he will once again direct.
