
Cold Storage First Look Photo & Release Date Window Unveiled for Joe Keery Movie
Samuel Goldwyn Films has successfully acquired the North American distribution rights to the upcoming sci-fi comedy titled Cold Storage, based on David Koepp’s 2019 novel of the samename. At the moment, the studio is planning to debut the movie later this year for a nationwide theatrical release.
“The film follows Teacake and Naomi, two employees at a self-storage facility built atop a former military base, whose night shift transforms into a nightmare when a government-sealed parasitic fungus escapes from the underground levels,” reads the official synopsis. “As temperatures rise, the microorganism unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting mayhem on anything in its path. The duo must join forces with a weathered bioterror operative to contain the threat before it triggers humanity’s extinction.”

The acquisition also comes with the released of its first look photo, featuring Stranger Things star Joe Keery and Black Mirror alum Georgina Campbell as they portray the respective leading roles of Travis Meacham and Naomi Williams. The cast will also include Liam Neeson, Lesley Manville, Sosie Bacon, Darrell D’Silva, Daniel Rigby, Rob Collins, Vanessa Redgrave, Ellora Torchia, Aaron Heffernan, and Andrew Brooke.
Cold Storage is directed by Jonny Campbell from a screenplay written by Koepp. The film is produced by Koepp, Gavin Polone, and Michael Schwarz, with Aaron Ensweiler and Frantz Richard executive producing. It is a production by StudioCanal.
