X-Men ’97 Actor Reacts to Avengers: Doomsday Crossover Rumor

Rumors about a potential crossover between X-Men ’97 and Avengers: Doomsday have been circulating since last month. Lenore Zann, who voices Rogue in X-Men ’97, has now publicly advocated for that to happen, urging Marvel Studios on social media to help it materialize.

Lenore Zann says Avengers: Doomsday and X-Men ’97’s crossover

Rogue voice actor Lenore Zann took to X (formerly Twitter) to request Marvel Studios to actualize the rumors about its animated heroes appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. Zann shared a screenshot of an Instagram post speculating on the subject and writing in the caption, “Well this would be cool, wouldn’t it? Imagine if @xmentas were to make an appearance? @MarvelStudios can you pls make that happen?”

Notably, Zann has also voiced Rogue in X-Men: The Animated Series, which aired on Fox Kids Network between 1992 and 1997. X-Men ’97 is a revival of that show.

Back in March 2025, The Cosmic Circus speculated on the prospects of Marvel Studios’ animated characters appearing in Avengers: Doomsday. The mutants and the supporting characters from X-Men ’97 were part of those rumors. The outlet claimed that Marvel Studios was weighing the idea of bringing characters from its animated properties to Doomsday while maintaining the animated appearances of these characters and the universes they were part of. This meant that Zann’s Rogue, Ray Chase’s Scott Summers / Cyclops, Jennifer Hale’s Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith’s Ororo Munroe / Storm, Cal Dodd as Logan / Wolverine, and more could be part of the narrative of the movie.

Toward the end of March, Marvel unveiled the names of over 25 actors who would appear in Doomsday. None of the voice cast members of X-Men ’97 were mentioned. However, that doesn’t mean they can’t still be part of the story. Production for Doomsday will reportedly begin this month, and if Marvel Studios wants, they can bring in Zann and the others even during the post-production period if they really are to appear in their animated forms.

Avengers: Doomsday will come out in U.S. theaters on May 1, 2026.
