Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Potential Avengers: Endgame & Spider-Verse Connection Explained
The recently released images of The Fantastic Four: First Steps figurines by Marvel Legends have seemingly hinted at a possible connection between the film and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Produced by Hasbro, the photos show two members of Marvel’s first family wearing silver bands on their wrists that look eerily similar to the time-space GPS device devised by Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in his final outing as Iron Man.
New Fantastic Four’s wrist device could be connected to Tony Stark’s time-space GPS
At the time of writing, Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm if the straps donned by the Marvel Legends Fantastic Four figures have any links to the time-traveling bands Downey Jr.’s character designed in Avengers: Endgame to navigate through the Quantum Realm.
On April 4, which Marvel fans fondly refer to as 4-4 day, Hasbro Pulse took to X (formerly Twitter) to provide fans with a glimpse at the official statuettes from the upcoming Fantastic Four film.
The post does not reveal the complete figures and instead features only their arms as the superheroes go for a team huddle. Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out the presence of shiny metal bands on the wrists of Sue Storm and Reed Richards.
Some theorists on the internet believe that these wrist devices worn by the Fantastic Four have something to do with the Tony Stark-formulated time-space GPS devices seen in Avengers: Endgame.
With Mister Fantastic and company confirmed to be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, some fans believe that the gang could make use of these navigational devices to complete their multiversal journey. Other suggestions claim that they might just be an original invention, coming from the genius mind of Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards.
As of now, the origin of the said bands continues to remain a mystery. Fans might not have to wait long for an answer as The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to hit theatres on July 25, 2025.
