While the Jason Statham-led A Working Man nears its theatrical release date, the movie has already raked in favorable reviews from critics in its early screenings. This has led to the David Ayer-helmed project securing an impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes, which has directly assisted in increasing the hype for the film.

Critics have lauded the action sequences of A Working Man in their reviews of the film, describing it as a fun watch for all Jason Statham fans. The 116-minute feature follows the misadventures of Levon Cade, who decides to give up his career as a military official in favor of leading a peaceful life with his daughter. However, after the disappearance of his boss’ daughter, he is forced to leverage his unique skillset to locate the girl, causing him to stumble upon a deeper conspiracy.

Avi Offer of NYC Movie Guru called A Working Man a “slick, exciting, and wildly entertaining cross between Taken and John Wick” in his review. He also described it as a “rousing, exhilarating white-knuckle thriller that’s a rush of pure adrenaline.”

Meanwhile, ComingSoon.net’s Jonathan Sim gave the film a rating of 7/10 and stated that fans of Jason Statham’s works will “find plenty to enjoy” in A Working Man.

This rating sits closely in line with the 71% score of Jason Statham’s The Beekeeper on the accredited review-aggregation website. As such, the 92% Rotten Tomatoes audience score of the 2024 flick suggests that viewers could end up having an equally rewarding experience with Statham’s latest outing.
