The Penguin Star Joins Netflix’s In Your Dreams Movie Cast With Simu Liu & Craig Robinson

The Penguin’s Cristin Milioti has joined the cast of Netflix’s In Your Dreams.

In Your Dreams is a new animated Netflix movie that will be released in 2025. In addition to Milioti, the voice cast of the movie includes Simu Liu, Craig Robinson, Jolie Hoang-Rappaport, Elias Janssen, Gia Carides, Omid Djalili, SungWon Cho, and Zachary Noah Piser.

Milioti is known for playing Sofia Falcone in HBO’s The Penguin. She’s also known for playing Betsy Solverson in the second season of FX’s Fargo and Nanette Cole in the “USS Callister” episode of Black Mirror.

Her filmography includes 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, 2015’s It Had to Be You, and 2020’s Palm Springs, among other roles.

What is In Your Dreams about?

The official logline for the movie reads, “In Your Dreams is a comedy adventure about Stevie and her brother Elliot who journey into the absurd landscape of their own dreams. If the siblings can withstand a snarky stuffed giraffe, zombie breakfast foods, and the queen of nightmares, the Sandman will grant them their ultimate dream come true…the perfect family.”

In Your Dreams is directed by Alex Woo, while Erik Benson serves as co-director. The screenplay comes from Woo and Benson, based on a story by Woo and Stanley Moore. Timothy Hahn and Gregg Taylor serve as producers, while the music comes from John Debney.

“As someone whose worldview was heavily influenced by the animation I devoured as a kid, I’m excited to be a part of Alex Woo’s moving and tender film,” Milioti, who voices the mom character, said in a statement.

Woo added, “Cristin is an EGOT-level talent. She can sing. She can act. I haven’t seen her dance, but I’m sure she could give Ginger Rogers a run for her money. You believe every performance Cristin gives, and that’s every director’s dream come true.”
