Anaconda Release Date Set for Jack Black & Paul Rudd’s Meta Reboot
Jack Black and Paul Rudd took to social media to share the official Anaconda release date, revealing when the new take on the horror film will premiere.
When is the Anaconda release date?
In a new video sent out by the pair to market the movie, the duo revealed that the Anaconda release date has been set for December 25, 2025, arriving on Christmas as a gift for fans. Nothing else was shown off about the movie, but Black and Rudd did promise that there would be a “big f—– snake,” as in the original film.
Alongside Black and Rudd, the new Anaconda movie will also star Daniela Melchoir. Other casting information for the movie is unknown as of now. The new Anaconda movie is being directed by Gormican, while Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are producing under the Fully Formed banner.
According to early reports on the film, the movie won’t be a remake of the 1997 film that starred Jon Voight, Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, and Owen Wilson. Rather, it will be “a new take with the same snake front and center, with a story that leans more toward comedy,” according to a report from Deadline.
The 1997 Anaconda, which was directed by Luis Llosa, was followed by one theatrically-released sequel, 2004’s Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, and several television sequels, including 2008’s Anaconda 3: Offspring and 2009’s Anacondas: Trail of Blood. There was also a 2015 Lake Placid vs. Anaconda crossover movie and a 2024 Chinese remake.
A release date for the new Anaconda movie has not yet been announced.
