Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse Release Date Update Hints at Further Delays
A new Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse release date update has been reported by Deadline. It hints at possible future delays for the highly anticipated third entry in the film.
What is the latest Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse release date update?
In a recent report on the performance of a variety of films at the box office, Deadline briefly touches on the status of Beyond the Spider-Verse. When it comes to the movie, Deadline notes that Sony Pictures is “taking a lot of tender loving care” with the project. Sony has “no plans for that threequel to hit the 2025 release calendar.”
The news comes amidst a litany of other rumors circulating around the project and its status. Earlier this year, a report from The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider suggested that the film had been nearly scrapped and forced to restart, resulting in what would be a lengthy delay. While writer and producer Christopher Miller would debunk those rumors, future reports suggested that Beyond the Spider-Verse was not close to being finished just yet.
Most recently, actor Jharrel Jerome — who appeared briefly in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse as Miles G. Morales said that he hadn’t even even begun work on the film yet, and had no real information about when the project would be coming.
