Jack Quaid Doesn’t Feel Pain in Novocaine Trailer
Paramount Pictures has shared the official Novocaine trailer for the upcoming action comedy, starring The Boys vet Jack Quaid. The film is scheduled to arrive in theaters on March 14, 2025.
“When the girl of his dreams is kidnapped, everyman Nate turns his inability to feel pain into an unexpected strength in his fight to get her back,” reads the official synopsis.

What happens in the Novocaine trailer?
The video features Quaid as Nathan Caine, a normal guy with a rare condition that prevents him from feeling any pain. When the girl of his dreams is suddenly kidnapped, he unexpectedly leaps into action in order to save her. The trailer also highlights some of the movie’s action-packed sequences, showing Quaid’s character going through a number of dangerous obstacles. Thanks to his inability to feel pain, he might become the hero for the first time in his life.
Novocaine is directed by Dan Berk and Robert Olsen from a screenplay written by Lars Jacobson. The cast includes Amber Midthunder, Ray Nicholson, Betty Gabriel, Matt Walsh, Lou Beatty Jr., Van Hengst, Conrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon. The film is produced by Drew Simon, Tory Tunnell, Joby Harold, Sam Speiser, Matt Schwartz, and Julian Rosenberg, with Paul Barbeau, Glen Basner, Josh Adler, Lars Jacobson, and Alison Cohen serving as executive producers.
This marks Quaid’s first action film as the solo lead. He is also currently attached to star in several upcoming movies, including the mystery romance thriller Companion with Sophie Thatcher, the crime thriller Nowhere Men with Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and the action thriller Heads of State with Idris Elba.
