Adam Scott & Danielle Deadwyler’s Lives Will Spiral Out of Control in The Saviors
Adam Scott (Severance) and Danielle Deadwyler (The Piano Lesson) have been tapped to star in Kevin Hamedani’s The Saviors, an upcoming movie described as a “darkly comedic thriller.”
Hamedani is directing the movie based on a script he co-wrote alongside Travis Betz. The Saviors is currently in production in Los Angeles.
What is The Saviors about?
Nothing much has been revealed yet about The Saviors, including other stars involved in the upcoming feature. Deadline reports the movie will center around “a suburban couple whose life spirals out of control when they rent their garage to mysterious tenants.”
Scott and Naomi Scott will produce the flick on behalf of Great Scott Productions, alongside Nicholas Weinstock and Divya D’Souza for Invention Studios, and Bradley Gallo and Michael Helfant for Amasia Entertainment.
Highway 10’s Matt Smith and Dan Gedman will also produce and finance The Saviors, with Deadwyler, Alyssa Roehrenbeck, and Josh Sathre executive producing.
“Kevin and Travis’ remarkable script is emblematic of the type of film we aim to make at Highway 10 – a compelling mystery with timely themes and unexpected humor. We were passionate that ‘The Saviors’ would be our new company’s debut feature. Adam and Danielle are both incredible performers, and we are so excited to have them leading this bold and thought-provoking film,” said Smith and Gedman in a statement shared by Deadline.
Hamedani’s directorial credits include Junk and ZMD: Zombies of Mass Destruction, which served as Sydney Sweeney’s screen-acting debut.
Scott, who can next be seen in the second season of Apple TV+’s hit series Severance, is also known for his roles in Parks and Recreation, Boy Meets World, The Vicious Kind, Friends with Kids, Step Brothers, Krampus, Big Little Lies, and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, among others.
Meanwhile, Deadwyler — who’s performance in The Piano Lesson received favorable reviews — has starred in several movies and television shows like Jane and Emma, Paradise Lost, Station Eleven, The Harder They Fall, Till, and From Scratch.
