Daisy Ridley’s Cleaner Gets US Release Date, New Photo for Action Movie

Quiver Distribution has set a US release date for the Daisy Ridley-led action movie Cleaner. It is directed by James Bond filmmaker Martin Campbell and written by Simon Uttley.

The film distribution company has acquired the North American rights to the upcoming action thriller, which hails from Qwerty Films and Anton. Cleaner, set in present-day London, will follow Ridley’s ex-soldier Joey Locke, who now works in one of the UK’s tallest buildings as a window cleaner. When a group of radical activists  — led by Clive Owen’s character — hold 300 people hostage, Joey must ensure the safety of everyone before it’s too late.

When is the release date for Cleaner?

The upcoming film will be gracing US theaters on February 21, 2025. In addition to Ridley and Owen, Cleaner will also star Taz Skylar (One Piece). You can check out the new photo for Cleaner down below:

According to the film’s description, Cleaner will center on a group of radical activists who have taken over the “energy company’s annual gala, seizing 300 hostages in order to expose the corruption of the hosts. Their just cause is hijacked by an extremist within their ranks, who is ready to murder everyone in the building to send his anarchic message to the world. It falls to an ex-soldier turned window cleaner, played by Daisy Ridley, suspended 50 storeys up on the outside of the building, to save those trapped inside.”

Ridley, known for her portrayal of Rey in the Star Wars franchise (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker), is no stranger to starring in action films. She has also starred in several features like Murder on the Orient Express, Ophelia, Chaos Walking, Sometimes I Think About Dying, The Marsh King’s Daughter, Magpie, Young Woman and the Sea, and We Bury the Dead.

Cleaner hits US theaters on February 21.
