Coral Peña to Receive Stonestreet Granite Award

ComingSoon is exclusively announcing that Stonestreet Studios, the independent film and television studio, has announced that Coral Peña will receive the studios’ Ninth Annual Stonestreet Granite Award.

Peña embodies the spirit of Stonestreet’s award

The award is given to those who exemplify the spirit of the Granite Award, which honors alumni who demonstrate perseverance in their craft, make meaningful contributions to their community, and “serve as role models for the next generation of Stonestreeters.”

“Our Granite Award embodies what Stonestreet stands for: resilience, artistry, diversity, and community,” said Alyssa Rallo Bennett, co-founder of Stonestreet Studios. “Coral Peña’s extraordinary talent, from bold performances to their collaborative and inspiring spirit, mirrors the very mission we’ve nurtured for 34 years.”

Past recipients of the Stonestreet Granite Award include Miles Teller (Whiplash, Top Gun: Maverick), Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Danny Ramirez (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Camila Mendes (Riverdale), Nik Walker (Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations), Ximena Lamadrid (Who Killed Sara?), and Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby, Bottoms).

Past presenters of the Stonestreet Granite Award include Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tony Award-winner James Monroe Iglehart, Paul Alexander Nolan, Steve Carell, Bryan Cranston, and Michael B. Jordan.

Peña is best known for her role as NASA flight director Aleida Rosales on the Apple TV+ series For All Mankind. She’s also appeared in the 2024 film Thelma, as well as on the television series 24: Legacy, The Enemy Within, and the upcoming 2025 miniseries Task, which will begin airing on HBO next year and also stars Mark Ruffalo, Tom Pelphrey, Emilia Jones, Thuso Mbedu, Raúl Castillo, and Jamie McShane, among others.
