Salvable First Look Image Revealed for Shia Labeouf-Led Crime Drama

The first look image for the upcoming boxing crime drama Salvable has been released, courtesy of Deadline. Per the outlet’s report, the film has already wrapped up its production in Wales. It stars Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), James Cosmo (Game Of Thrones), and Shia LaBeouf, who can next be seen as Clodio Pulcher in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis.

Joining the cast are Kila Lord Cassidy (The Wonder), Elaine Cassidy (No Offence), Michael Socha (The Gallows Pole), Aiysha Hart (Mogul Mowgli), Nell Hudson (Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Barry Ward (Extra Ordinary), with former professional boxer Carl Froch making a cameo. Froch also trained both Kebbell and LaBeouf for their respective roles in Salvable.

What is Salvable about?

Helmed by directing duo Björn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta, the movie will follow Sal (Kebbel), who will join the world of illegal boxing in hopes of rekindling his passion. 

Per the synopsis (via Deadline), Salvable is a story about “a washed-up boxer on the brink of 40 who is fighting more than his opponents. With a life of regrets and fading dreams, his chance at redemption comes knocking in the form of illegal boxing, introduced by the sudden return of his old friend, Vince (Labeouf). Sal faces a dilemma: seize the shot at resurgence or preserve the bond with his daughter, Molly (Lord Cassidy).”

The film’s producers are Lowkey Films’ Jamie Gamache and Connor O’Hara and Featuristic Films’ Julien Loeffler and James Kermack. Executive producers are Will Machin, Sam Parker, Michael Yates, Tom George, Jeremy Walton, David Lyons, Norman Merry, Peter Hampden, Mark Foligno, Juraj Barabas, Aleksey Ageyev, and Elora Thevenet.

No release date has been set yet for Salvable.
