James Gunn revealed David Corenswet’s Superman Suit on May 6 and fans couldn’t help but notice the fine detailing on it. Most importantly, the return of the iconic red trunks on his pants caught a lot of attention.

The collar teases an inspiration from Superman’s suit in the New 52 era. The classic comic-accurate red trunks also make a return, as they weren’t seen on Henry Cavill’s DCEU Superman.
