Norman Reedus & Dennis Quaid’s Underrated Sci-Fi Horror Movie Now Streaming for Free
For horror fans and sci-fi enthusiasts searching for a hidden gem, a terrifying cult classic is now available to stream without a subscription.
Director Christian Alvart’s 2009 psychological sci-fi horror film Pandorum is now available to stream for free on Lionsgate Movies’ official YouTube channel.
Headlined by a stellar ensemble cast featuring Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Cam Gigandet, and Norman Reedus, the film initially struggled at the box office. It grossed just over $17 million against a $40 million budget and divided critics upon its theatrical release.
However, in the years since its debut, Pandorum has earned a passionate cult following for its claustrophobic atmosphere and terrifying creature designs. Currently, it holds a Tomatometer score of just 26% and Popcornmeter score of 49% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Pandorum follows Astronauts Payton, played by Dennis Quaid, and Bower, played by Ben Foster. They awake in a hypersleep chamber without any memory of their real identities or their mission.
The official synopsis of the film further reads, “While Payton stays behind to monitor the radio transmitter, Bower ventures out of the chamber into the seemingly abandoned spaceship. The men quickly realize that they are not alone and that the fate of mankind hinges on what they do next.”
The horror movie shows the crew of a spaceship Earth on a mission lasting over 100 years to reach and colonize the planet Tanis. However, their journey takes a terrifying turn when they encounter cannibalistic mutants who begin hunting them down.
Besides Norman Reedus, Quaid, and Foster, Pandorum’s ensemble cast also features Cam Gigandet as Gallo, Antje Traue as Nadia, Cung Le as Manh, Eddie Rouse as Leland, and André Hennicke as Hunter Leader, among others.
The screenplay was written by Travis Milloy from a story by Milloy and Alvart, with production led by Robert Kulzer, Jeremy Bolt, and Resident Evil director Paul W. S. Anderson.
