MCU’s Top 2 Streamed Movies on Disney+ Are Not What You’d Expect Them to Be
The top 2 highly streamed MCU movies on Disney+ right now are not what most fans would expect. While Spider-Man continues to break box-office records with Brand New Day, Marvel viewers at home are turning their attention to two very different MCU favorites.
According to streaming analytics site FlixPatrol, legacy blockbusters Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame currently reign as the top two streamed Marvel films on the platform. Infinity War holds the fifth spot, while Endgame sits at seventh in FlixPatrol’s overall global Top 10 Disney+ movies list.
The MCU’s Disney+ audience is looking beyond the latest Marvel releases
Many would think that the top-streaming MCU titles right now would be Daredevil or Spider-Man, considering the recent news of Daredevil: Born Again’s cancelation and Brand New Day creating box office milestones. It has made over $2.45 billion worldwide since its theatrical debut nearly two months ago.
However, it’s actually Infinity War and Endgame that have kept most viewers engaged on Disney+. It’s particularly surprising given that Avengers: Endgame is just days away from its theatrical rerelease this week.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, the 2019 blockbuster will return to theaters on September 25, 2026, under a new title, Avengers Endgame: Encore. Its ensemble cast is led by Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.
Other key cast members include Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye/Ronin, Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Benedict Cumberbatch as Dr. Stephen Strange, Josh Brolin as Thanos, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, and more.
Avengers Endgame: Encore will feature four minutes of extra footage compared to the original movie’s cut. It will establish a direct link with the upcoming MCU epic, Avengers: Doomsday.
