Charlotte Kirk & Neil Marshall’s Thriller Movie The Spiral Down Casts Saw & DC Stars | Exclusive

ComingSoon can exclusively announce that Charlotte Kirk‘s new thriller movie The Spiral Down has expanded its cast with Saw and DC stars. Written by Neil Marshall, the movie has begun principal photography in Kentucky.

Costas Mandylor, known for his performance in the Saw franchise, and Adam Tsekhman, who was seen in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow TV series, have joined Charlotte Kirk’s upcoming psychological thriller. Besides Kirk, Mandylor, and Tsekhman, the film’s cast has also added Michael Pare (Streets of Fire), Alessandra Williams (Spenser Confidential), Mike Ferguson (Night Patrol), Matthew Fahey (Animal Kingdom), Darren Weiss (Tin Soldier), Anna Clols (CATnip), Jane Konsol (Zafafian), and Courtney Warner (Dark Reckoning).

What else do we know about Charlotte Kirk and Neil Marshall’s new movie?

According to an official description for the film, “what begins as [a] routine abduction case, quickly unravels into a dangerous game between predators. A serial killer obsessed with perfection kidnaps Mary Doyle, but as detectives close in, they discover that Mary is far from a victim. She is a dangerous escapee from a psychiatric institution with a violent past of her own. After killing her captor and disappearing without a trace, the investigation is turned on its head, leaving law enforcement hunting an even greater threat.”

The Spiral Down is being helmed by Aaron Mirtes (Whiskey Run, The Bigfoot Trap). Producers on the project include Kirk, Marshall, Karlos Ways (Christmas & Chaos), and Alessandra Williams. It marks the fifth time that Kirk and Marshall have worked together following Compulsion, Duchess, The Lair, and The Reckoning.

Kirk will next appear in a horror movie, The Possession of Gladstone Manor, opposite Caylee Cowan, Jesse Metcalfe, and Lin Shaye. She will also feature in a horror comedy, Catnip, with Jake Busey, and the horror thriller The Last Bride. Kirk’s busy upcoming slate also includes the action title Myra, opposite Gary Daniels, and a romantic comedy, Christmas and Chaos, with Jason Isaacs.

The Spiral Down has yet to receive an official release date.
