Warner Bros. just confirmed when The Batman Part II trailer drops this week. The studio revealed the exact release date and a surprise bonus for fans of the animated series.

Batman: Knightfall Part 2 trailer to release tomorrow

Warner Bros. will release the trailer for Batman: Knightfall Part 2: Knightquest on Batman Day, September 19, 2026. Fans can also pre-order the animated sequel on the same day. The first film, Batman: Knightfall Part 1, will be available at a special promotional price through digital retailers.

Batman: Knightfall Part 1 launched on digital platforms last month. It is now available to purchase in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD formats. The first installment currently holds a 94% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The sequel picks up after Bane brutally defeated Bruce Wayne and broke his back. Bane declared himself a dominant force in Gotham City after the attack. The official Warner Bros. synopsis reads, “Batman lies broken at the hands of the villainous mastermind Bane.”

The synopsis continues, “With Bruce Wayne paralyzed from the waist down and unable to continue as Batman, a new successor must be chosen to defend Gotham City.” Jean-Paul Valley, also known as Azrael, will take on Batman’s mantle. The synopsis asks, “But will his more violent methods be enough to stop Bane?”

The trilogy draws from the comic book storyline divided into Knightfall, Knightquest, and KnightsEnd. The animated series carries an R-rating that borrows brutal intensity from the source material. Jeff Wamester directs the sequel while Jeremy Adams wrote the screenplay.

Jim Krieg and Kimberly S. Moreau serve as producers on the film. Michael Uslan and Sam Register are executive producers. Batman: Knightfall Part 2 has yet to receive an official release date in 2026. The third and final installment is set to arrive sometime in 2027.
