Lady Gaga seemingly had a meaningful inspiration for the name of her daughter with fiancé Michael Polansky. Apparently, the baby’s name reportedly has a connection to Gaga’s musical history.

As reported by TMZ, the singer welcomed a baby girl named Rose Bean Polansky on June 9, 2026, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. As of this writing, the couple have not publicly announced the baby’s name or sex themselves, although TMZ obtained a birth certificate identifying the child as Rose Bean Polansky.

An insider told PEOPLE that the name “Rose” is reportedly inspired by Gaga’s song La Vie En Rose from the 2018 movie A Star Is Born. Plus, she also has a large tattoo on her spine of a single rose on a long stem with the words “la vie en rose” written in script beside it.

The middle name “Bean,” meanwhile, likely comes from singer-activist Carl Bean, who inspired her hit song Born This Way, as speculated by both PEOPLE and TMZ.

Gaga and Michael Polansky have been keeping family life out of the spotlight

While an insider claimed that Gaga “sounds very happy” since the birth of her new daughter, the ‘Abracadabra’ hitmaker and Polansky have continued to keep their family life out of the spotlight.

As reported by TMZ, Gaga was last snapped holding her daughter close to her chest while walking with her fiancé and a friend in Northern California. While the two have been engaged since 2024, a wedding date doesn’t appear to have been set yet.

Meanwhile, a source said to PEOPLE that Gaga was “ready to slow down after her tour,” which wrapped in April. “Right now, she’s enjoying being away from the public eye and having this special time with the baby,” the source continued. “Michael is great with the baby. They’re figuring everything out together. She doesn’t want to miss any of it.”

Another source previously told the outlet that the couple “took time off work this summer to be with [the] baby.”
