The Accountant 2 is finding new streaming audience on Hulu

The Accountant 2 continues to attract viewers on Hulu, according to FlixPatrol’s streaming charts for September 16, 2026. The Ben Affleck-led action thriller currently sits at No. 2 on Hulu’s Top 10 Movies list. It trails only Coraline on the platform’s film rankings. The sequel also holds the No. 6 spot on Hulu’s overall Top 10 chart.

Gavin O’Connor directed the film from a script by Bill Dubuque. The movie serves as a sequel to the 2016 original. Jon Bernthal, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, J.K. Simmons, and Daniella Pineda also star in the film. Artists Equity, Ben Affleck’s production company, produced the project alongside 51 Entertainment and Filmtribe.

Amazon MGM Studios released The Accountant 2 theatrically on April 25, 2025. The film earned $24.5 million during its domestic opening weekend. It finished third behind holdover Sinners and the Revenge of the Sith re-release. The movie ultimately grossed $103.3 million worldwide against an $80 million budget. Amazon Prime Video began streaming the film on June 5, 2025.

Critics responded favorably to the sequel overall. The film holds a 75% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes from 218 reviews. Metacritic assigned it a score of 58 out of 100 based on 42 critics. Audiences polled by CinemaScore gave the film an “A-” grade.

The franchise already has plans for expansion beyond this sequel. Director O’Connor confirmed a third installment is in active development. He described the planned threequel as a buddy road-trip film with a lighter tone. Anna Kendrick is expected to return as Dana Cummings for the third entry. Writer Bill Dubuque confirmed in May 2026 that Amazon MGM remains interested in completing the trilogy.
