X-Men: Apocalypse Star Hints MCU Return in New Movie Isn’t Out of the Question
A star from X-Men: Apocalypse has teased a potential return to the MCU. The 29-year-old actor’s comments suggested that fans should not rule out the possibility of a future Marvel return for her character. The actor further revealed a discussion with filmmakers about a potential return.
Lana Condor portrayed the character of Jubilation Lee, aka Jubilee, in the 2016 superhero film. Jubilee is a mutant student at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. In an interview with The Direct, Condor revealed her desire to return as Jubilee.
“I would love nothing more than to come back as Jubilation Lee. That’s all I’ve been hearing, but no real conversations… I’ve talked to the filmmakers and been like, ‘Hey, listen, I’m 10 years older now. I know more. Bring me back.’ So we’ll see,” said the American actor and YouTuber.
Condor’s Jubilee appeared in Bryan Singer’s 2016 film as a young student alongside other mutants including Cyclops, Nightcrawler, and Jean Grey. Jubilee’s character has the ability to generate firework-like plasmoids.
The new X-Men reboot film from Marvel Studios will release in theaters on May 5, 2028.
Lana Condor’s Hollywood journey from X-Men to Coyote vs. Acme
Lana Condor began her journey as an actor with X-Men: Apocalypse. In 2016 itself she also played the role of Li in Peter Berg’s action-thriller Patriot’s Day. She was also a part of the cast of High School Lover. She played Allison in the 2017 romantic thriller.
Condor got her first big break in 2018 in Netflix’s To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. She portrayed the lead character Lara Jean Covey in the romance drama. The To All the Boys franchise from Netflix is a trilogy based on the bestselling book trilogy by Jenny Han, which was released in 2018, 2020, and 2021. Following that, she has also worked on projects including Pretty Lethal (2026), The Devil’s Mouth (2026), Valiant One (2025), Moonshot (2022), and others.
Condor portrays Paige in the 2026 comedy-adventure Coyote vs. Acme. The film has been directed by Dave Green and produced by James Gunn and Christopher DeFaria. During the 2026 San Diego Comic Con, she reflected on her journey and told The Direct, “Actually, my first Comic-Con was with ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ 10 years ago.”
Coyote vs. Acme is scheduled to hit screens on August 28, 2026.
