Lucky Strikes Trailer Previews Hilarious Sports Movie Like Kingpin & Dodgeball | Exclusive

ComingSoon can exclusively debut the trailer for the new movie Lucky Strikes. The movie tells the story of an underdog bowler as he prepares for an important last-shot tournament. The sports-comedy movie will be digitally released on Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango at Home, Google Play, DirecTV, and more, starting September 22, 2026.

The official synopsis reads, “Adam, a washed-up bowler, and his best friend Benny fight to save his late father’s legacy and the local bowling alley from the wrecking ball. With his arch-nemesis Sarah out to sabotage him, Adam and Benny plot wild schemes in various attempts to raise money that all lead to a high-stakes showdown in the national bowling championship!”

What do we see in the Lucky Strikes trailer?

Lucky Strikes trailer opens with Meegwun Fairbrother‘s character, Adam, bowling in a bowling alley. Things take a quick turn when Adam is served with an eviction notice for outstanding rent. Adam tries to inherit his late father’s bowling alley. However, the down payment, $20,000, is a lot more than he can afford.

“I’m street broke! Living paycheck-to-paycheck,” says Adam, as clips of him crying in his car and working as a cashier are shown in the trailer. But things take a turn when his friend introduces him to the Bowling Championship tournament in their town. The price stated is 30 Grand, which is $10,000 more than the required down payment for the bowling alley.

The two friends begin working on their bowling skills. Adam says, “We have 30 days to get ready, or we lose everything,” as he begins practicing with a new coach. The underdog bowler is then introduced to his rival, “Adriana, European bowling champion.” With little time on their hands, Adam gears up to face his rival in the upcoming tournament as well as recover his late father’s bowling alley.

Lucky Strikes is written and directed by Darcy Waite. Alongside Fairbrother, the movie also stars Victoria Turko, Gabriel Daniels, and Stephanie Sy.
