Johnny Depp & Spider-Man Director’s Day Drinker Movie Gets New Plot Details in Big Update

Spider-Man director’s film Day Drinker starring Johnny Depp has received a new major plot update. The thriller-action movie is scheduled to hit theaters on March 26, 2027.

Amazing Spider-Man director Marc Webb is directing Depp in this film written by Zach Dean. Although much about the upcoming film has not yet been revealed, the story will reportedly revolve around three characters, per The Hollywood Reporter. The cast for the film features Madelyn Cline and Penélope Cruz alongside Depp. Cline is set to take on the role of a bartender on a private yacht who meets a mysterious passenger portrayed by Depp. Cruz plays the role of a mysterious criminal figure. The storyline would bring these three characters together in a tragic connection.

Johnny Depp was subjected to intense media attention a few years back as he was at the center of a defamation trial with Amber Heard. Day Drinker is going to be his first major dramatic role since the legal dispute was settled.
