Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to be available for online streaming to Star Wars fans. In a recent update, the release date for Disney + has been revealed.

According to Collider, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released on Disney+ on September 2, 2026. The movie was released in theaters back on May 22, 2026. A few days ago, the 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD releases of the project were also announced. Fans who wish to buy a physical copy can do so from August 25, 2026, onwards.

The Mandalorian and Grogu was among the most significant milestones in the Star Wars franchise. The movie marked the return of Star Wars to the big screen after seven years. After concluding its theatrical run, it was made available for digital purchase a few weeks ago.

The Mandalorian and Grogu had a production budget of $165,000,000. In its opening weekend, the movie managed to garner $81,670, 433. According to figures provided by The Numbers, the Jon Favreau project collected $177,730,060 from the domestic market. The film also had some success at the worldwide box office, grossing $345,168,251.

Starring Pedro Pascal, the synopsis, per The Numbers, reads, “The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu.”

While the movie had a decent run at the box office, The Mandalorian and Grogu has found some footing following its digital release. Its digital debut saw the movie land on the Top 10 list. Apart from Pascal, it also stars Steve Blum, Jonny Coyne, Lateef Crowder, Sigourney Weaver, Brendan Wayne, and more.
