Jordan Peele & Keanu Reeves’ Gangster Movie Is About To Hit Streaming Soon 

The 2016 gangster comedy movie Keanu is set to make its way to streaming soon. The film, which stars comedy duo Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key and features the voice of Keanu Reeves, is scheduled to arrive on Netflix next month.

Jordan Peele and Keegan-Michael Key’s Keanu is set to join Netflix’s lineup next month. According to What’s on Netflix, the 2016 crime comedy movie starring the Key & Peele duo will be available to stream on the platform beginning September 1, 2026.

Directed by Peter Atencio and written by Peele with Key & Peele co-writer Alex Rubens, the film follows Rell, who becomes attached to a kitten named Keanu while dealing with a painful breakup. His happiness is short-lived when he returns home with his cousin Clarence and discovers that his house has been burglarized and Keanu has been taken. Determined to get the cat back, the cousins begin tracking down those responsible. 

Rell and Clarence’s search eventually takes the two inside a violent street gang, where they discover that Keanu is being kept by the ruthless gangster Cheddar. Their simple plan to recover a pet soon puts the two men in serious danger. Jordan Peele appears as Rell and Keegan-Michael Key plays Clarence.

The film’s cast also features Tiffany Haddish as Trina “Hi-C” Parker, Method Man as Cheddar, Jason Mitchell as Bud, Luis Guzmán as Bacon Diaz, and Keanu Reeves as the voice of Keanu. The film received generally positive reviews from critics. Keanu holds a 78 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 178 reviews. Meanwhile, its audience rating stands at 55 percent.

According to Box Office Mojo, the movie earned $20.7 million worldwide against a $15 million production budget, with most of its global take coming from domestic theaters.
