Johnny Depp Is Scrooge in Pearl Director’s Ebenezer A Christmas Carol Movie Poster

Paramount Pictures has offered an exclusive look at Johnny Depp’s character in Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol. Depp will portray the lead character of Ebenezer Scrooge according to the latest reveal.

What do we see in the Ebenezer poster with Johnny Depp?

While the poster doesn’t show a full glimpse of the actor, whatever little was visible was enough to garner widespread fan attention. The majority of the poster consisted of Ebenezer’s iconic black hat. With the poster showing snowfall, mimicking the ideal Christmas weather, flakes of white snow can be seen accumulating on the edge of Depp’s hat. Right below, the eyes of the Pirates of the Caribbean-famed actor are visible, staring with a sharp gaze.

The upcoming movie will come as a fresh take on Charles Dickens’ iconic novella, A Christmas Carol. Director Ti West will be drawing inspiration from Nathaniel Halpern’s script for the movie. West is known for working on projects like Pearl, MaxXxine, and X. Fans will undoubtedly have high expectations for his upcoming movie.

The film’s plot will center around Ebenezer Scrooge, who is portrayed as a close-fisted businessman. During the course of the movie, the Christmas ghosts of the past, present, and future will come to haunt him. Ultimately, these encounters will force Scrooge to change his overly penny-pinching approach and live life with a completely new outlook.

Alongside Johnny Depp, the movie will feature Arthur Conti, Rupert Grint, Daisy Ridley, Andrea Riseborough, and Sam Claflin. The cast will also include Ian McKellen, Ellie Bamber, Charlie Murphy, and Tramell Tillman.

Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol is produced by Emma Watts, with Andrew Larry, Pete Chiappetta, Jason Forman, Stephen Deuters, Adam Bohling, Anthony Tittannegro, and David Reid as executive producers. The movie is scheduled for a Thanksgiving release on November 13, 2026, in theaters.
