Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s Tom Holland Reveals Which Stunts Are the Hardest to Film

Tom Holland reveals which stunt was the hardest to film as Spider-Man. During a recent interview with his Spider-Man: Brand New Day co-stars, the 30-year-old opened up about which stunt his castmates would avoid. This was followed by a behind-the-scenes story.

What did Tom Holland say about his Spider-Man: Brand New Day stunts?

In a promotional interview for the Spider-Man movie, the four main cast members participated in a game in which they drew a card from a jar and asked each other questions. One of the questions Sadie Sink read was, “Which of Tom’s stunts are you least likely to try?” In response, Jacob Batalon said, “All of them.”

Meanwhile, Sink answered, “Maybe your upside-down,” to which Holland admitted, “Upside-down is tough.” In response, Zendaya also agreed by saying, “Not good. Yeah.”

Holland then revealed how he knew that his castmates would not be up for that particular stunt. He stated, “This is how I know they won’t try the upside-down stunt. There was a gag that we were gonna shoot today where everyone went upside-down, and it was vetoed by someone in this room.”

Sink admitted, “It was a mess,” while Zendaya said, “It was a big pass for me. Sorry about that, guys.” So, according to the Spider-Man star, doing anything upside down was the toughest stunt to film.

Additionally, comments under the post took the word “Upside-Down” and connected it to Netflix’s Stranger Things, thanks to the presence of the actress who plays Max. For instance, user @AZDeadpool1 commented, “Sadie knows a thing or two about the upside down though.”

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the fourth installment of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will introduce audiences to a new side of Peter Parker as he navigates isolation in a world that has long forgotten his true identity. He comes across new enemies as well as a mutation in his powers. The movie also stars Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and Marvin Jones III.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to hit theaters on July 31, 2026.
