Quentin Tarantino’s Final Movie Gets Exciting Filming Update

Quentin Tarantino’s tenth and final film just got a promising update. The filmmaker behind Pulp Fiction and Django Unchained has long maintained that he wants to finish his filmography with ten movies.

What’s the latest update on Quentin Tarantino’s final movie?

In an interview with Deadline, Robert Richardson, Quentin Tarantino’s go-to cinematographer, has provided a possible update on the film. The cinematographer has worked on every Tarantino-directed film since Kill Bill: Volume 1. However, even Richardson isn’t aware of what the movie will be about. Richardson told the outlet that the film might start shooting next summer.

“No, nobody knows what he’s going to do,” Richardson said when asked about Tarantino’s next film.

“We know that he’s going to finish [his play], so he’s not going to shoot till after that. So, there’s a possibility sometime next summer. I have no idea what it is, but he won’t be walking down the same path he’s currently walking. I don’t know what he’ll do.

The filmmaker was developing a feature called The Movie Critic for many years before ultimately abandoning it. Tarantino’s next project will be a collaboration with Kylie Minogue, but he won’t be directing the film. In the same interview, Richardson revealed that he was going to work with Tarantino on The Movie Critic before the film was scrapped.

“He called me and said, ‘I’m going to change the script. It’s going to be another script.’ And then he started prepping that film, and it got out of whack, and it went away.”

Tarantino’s last film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, was released in 2019 to positive reviews. The film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt, grossed over $393 million at the box office. After seven years, the film is getting a stand-alone sequel with The Adventures of Cliff Booth, which is being directed by David Fincher. The film will be released in IMAX on November 25, 2026, before making its way to Netflix.
