Enola Movies ranked by Rotten Tomatoes score
3) Enola Holmes 3 (2026)
Ranking third is 2026’s Enola Holmes 3, which features the return of Brown as the titular detective. Now streaming on Netflix, the latest installment brings Enola to Malta, where she’s set to be wed to long-time love interest Louis Partridge’s Tewkesbury. However, things get derailed when her brother, Henry Cavill’s Sherlock Holmes, is suddenly kidnapped. So far, the film has already received a 61% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 18 reviews. This makes it the hit franchise’s lowest-rated installment ever and the first one that didn’t receive a Fresh RT score.
Early reviews are praising Brown for effectively showcasing her character’s growth and maturity. Many critics also loved her delightful partnership with Himesh Patel’s Dr. Watson while also commending Sharon Duncan-Brewster’s performance as the formidable Moriarty. Despite this, the film’s ratings were affected by criticisms of the film’s pacing issues and underwhelming plot mystery.
2) Enola Holmes (2020)
Claiming the second spot is 2020’s Enola Holmes, which received a 91% Fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes. The coming-of-age adventure movie marked Brown’s first-ever feature film with the streamer, after her breakout success as Eleven in Stranger Things. Many critics and fans loved the film’s refreshing take on the classic Sherlock Holmes lore. Brown’s leading performance was also praised for the fun and charisma she brought to the character. In addition, critics also commended its star-filled supporting cast, including Cavill’s unconventional take on Sherlock and Sam Claflin’s Mycroft.
1) Enola Holmes 2 (2022)
2022’s Enola Holmes 2 is officially the Netflix franchise’s highest-rated installment to date, with an approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Most critics were impressed with the sibling dynamic between Enola and Sherlock, describing it as one of the sequel’s major highlights. Cavill and Brown’s playful sibling rivalry and intellectual banter were certainly a delight to watch. Brown’s second time portraying the titular character has also received acclaim from critics and fans. Her confidence, wit, and charm have once again proven her ability to effortlessly carry one of the streamer’s biggest film franchises to date.
