Zoe Saldaña & Kate Winslet’s Epic Sci-Fi Movie Comes to Disney+ Today

Disney+ expands its collection with the addition of 20th Century Studios’ epic sci-fi action movie, featuring Academy Award winners Zoe Saldaña and Kate Winslet. During its theatrical run, the 2025 film grossed over $1.4 billion at the global box office.

As of today, 2025’s epic sci-fi movie Avatar: Fire and Ash is finally available to stream on Disney+, six months after its theatrical release. The third installment of James Cameron’s blockbuster franchise currently holds a 66% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, making it the lowest-rated Avatar sequel. In the film, Saldaña and Winslet reprised their respective roles as Neytiri and Ronal.

Avatar: Fire and Ash was directed by Cameron, who co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver. The third installment also featured returning stars Sam Worthington as Jake, Sigourney Weaver as Kiri, Stephen Lang as Quaritch, Giovanni Ribisi as Parker Selfridge, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Joel David Moore as Dr. Norm Spelmman, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss as Tuk, Jack Champion as Spider, Bailey Bass as Tsireya, and Edie Falco as General Frances Ardmore. They were joined by franchise newcomers Oona Chaplin as Varang and David Thewlis as Peylak.
