Supergirl: Milly Alcock’s Bigger DCU Role After Man of Tomorrow Movie Teased
Milly Alcock‘s Supergirl may have a bigger impact in the DCU after Man of Tomorrow. The actress will soon appear in her own solo superhero movie as Kara Zor-El this week.
What do we know about the DCU future for Supergirl’s Milly Alcock after Man of Tomorrow?
DC Studios’ executive producer Lars P. Winther shared some crucial details on Supergirl’s role in the DCU’s future during an interaction with The Hollywood Reporter.
Winther revealed that Supergirl will play a significant role in the next project following her appearance in David Corenswet’s sequel to the 2025 Superman film. “Man of Tomorrow, which is what we’re shooting now, [Alcock] is in that movie. Without giving too much away, this movie ends a particular way, and you see where she’s going to end up.”
He added, “She’s done her wild ways, and now she’s going to try to get back in with her cousin and be more on Earth again. That’s where she is in Man of Tomorrow. It’s all more Earth-based.” Focusing on her journey moving forward in the DCU, Winther concluded, “we have Man of Tomorrow, and we already know what the next movie’s going to be after that, and she’s a big part of that.”

Milly Alcock’s Supergirl made her first appearance in the DCU during the closing moments of the Superman movie. It also featured Krypto the dog, who will play a key role in the upcoming Supergirl film’s overall plot. Interestingly, David Corenswet will make a cameo appearance in the movie, as recently confirmed by set photos shared by DC Studios head James Gunn.
Supergirl will also include Jason Momoa as Lobo. Other key cast members on the project include Eve Ridley, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Krumholtz, Emily Beecham, Ferdinand Kingsley, and Diarmaid Murtagh.
The Supergirl movie is releasing in theaters on June 26, 2026.
