The makers of Scary Movie 6 have revealed an interesting popcorn bucket for fans ahead of the film’s theatrical release this Friday.
The Scary Movie 6 popcorn bucket is likely to remind fans of one iconic catchphrase from the franchise. It’s connected to the very first Scary Movie from 2000. Speaking of the popcorn bucket, it has the shape of an old-fashioned phone, and it’s called WAZZUP!
Avid fans of the horror comedy parody series will instantly recognize this iconic line. The phrase appeared in a scene from the first film that parodied Budweiser commercials. The sequence featured a series of phone calls between Shorty, his roommates, and the Ghostface killer. Eventually, they all ended up shouting ‘WAAAZZUUPPP!’ repeatedly.
Ahead of its debut, Scary Movie 6 has already revealed multiple hilarious moments with its promotional material. The recently released final trailer, for example, took a dig at Jordan Peele’s 2017 horror hit Get Out in the most unimaginable way possible.
Previous trailers for Scary Movie 6 have also mocked other popular horror films such as Weapons, Sinners, M3GAN, Scream, and more.
Directed by Michael Tiddes, Scary Movie 6 also features Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks, Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins, Jon Abrahams as Bobby Prinze, Lochlyn Munro as Greg Phillippe, and Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore, among others.
Producers on the film include Rick Alvarez, Craig Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, and Keenen Ivory Wayans. Jonathan Glickman, Thom Zadra, Alexandra Loewy, Marc Weinstock, Marsha L. Swinton, and Neal H. Moritz are serving as executive producers.
