Paul Rudd Sold Avengers: Doomsday Tickets for $100K Without Telling Marvel

Paul Rudd recently revealed that he sold tickets to the premiere of Avengers: Doomsday for $100,000 without telling Marvel beforehand. The actor made the confession during a recent conversation with Jimmy Fallon on his talk show. A video of the actor auctioning off the tickets also went viral on social media.

Paul Rudd says he didn’t tell Marvel about the Avengers: Doomsday tickets auction

Paul Rudd was the latest guest on Jimmy Fallon’s show, where he revealed more details about selling Avengers: Doomsday tickets.

During the interview, Fallon congratulated Rudd, the co-owner of the Big Slick charity, for the money they raised for Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. Fallon shared that Rudd, along with other celebs like Jason Sudeikis and Eric Stonestreet, raised over $40 million for the hospital in almost 17 years.

The talk show host then brought up the topic of Rudd auctioning off the tickets to the Avengers: Doomsday world premiere for the same charity. The actor stated that he sold the tickets to the premiere, which will be held in LA, for a bid of $100,000. However, he didn’t take Marvel Studios’ permission before doing that. He stated, “I mean, it’s so crazy that that kind of caught on. Because I didn’t even ask Marvel. I just auctioned them off. So I’m hoping it’s okay.”

Marvel Studios has a reputation for having strict security and secrecy at world premieres to prevent leaks. Considering this, Fallon asked Rudd if it would be okay for him to bring the ticket buyer to the premiere. The actor added, “Well, then my family’s not going because I only get, like, a very small allotment,” which caused Fallon to burst into laughter.

In the viral video of the auction, Rudd can be seen telling the buyer about additional perks of the deal. He said the buyer would also have the chance to attend the world premiere after-party. Moreover, Rudd will introduce him to the celebrities he meets and take selfies with them.
