Avengers: Doomsday’s Doctor Doom Coffee Shop Is Filled With Easter Eggs
Avengers: Doomsday‘s recent coffee-themed partnership left fans a ton of Easter eggs to decipher. Although they may have been disappointed with it, Marvel Studios continues to hint at the next Avengers movie.
So far, little is known about Avengers: Doomsday. However, the film is set to feature a huge cast, which includes Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby’s Invisible Woman/Sue Storm, Anthony Mackie’s Captain America, Sebastian Stan’s Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Letitia Wright’s Shuri/Black Panther, and Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, among others.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to release on December 18, 2026. Avengers: Secret Wars is set to release a year later on December 17, 2027.
Avengers: Doomsday’s latest collab has a ton of Easter eggs
For those unaware, recently the Russo brothers teased the appearance of Avengers: Doomsday at SXSW London. While many believed it to be a trailer of some sort, it turns out the tease was just for a coffee stand at the event. The pop-up shop was selling “Dom Latveria Coffee,” a clever nod to the land that Victor von Doom calls home.
While many fans thought that was it, however, the menu for the pop-up featured a ton of Easter eggs. As spotted by fans on social media, the menu for Dom Latveria Coffee features a ton of nods to Doctor Doom’s character. Specifically, the drink names all refer to various parts of Doom’s character.
The Fortunov is a clever nod to Vladimir Fortunov, Doom’s predecessor, while the Rapprochement is a nod to the Latverian festival of the same name. “Cynthia’s Blend” is a reference to Doom’s mother, and things like Zefiro and Hassenstadt Dark are references to the clan and city of Latveria, respectively.
It’s not the partnership reveal that fans may have wanted, but it shows that Marvel Studios will continue to tap into the iconic character of Doom. With the villain set to play a major role in the next two Avengers films, Marvel Studios continues to show that they’re going to show a lot of the character off, even if we haven’t seen him just yet.
