Mortal Kombat II Digital, 4K UHD, & Blu-ray Release Dates Set for Karl Urban Action Movie
The Mortal Kombat II movie has received its digital, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray release dates. Featuring The Boys star Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, among others, the film made its theatrical debut last month.
When are the digital, 4K UHD, and Blu-ray release dates for Mortal Kombat II?
Helmed by Simon McQuoid, Mortal Kombat II is based on the popular video game franchise by Ed Boon and John Tobias. It’s the sequel to 2021’s first installment, which was also directed by McQuoid.
Speaking of its home debut, the Mortal Kombat II movie will release digitally on June 9, 2026, across Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango, and more. Later, it will arrive on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on July 28, 2026.
The film also stars Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano, Joe Taslim, and Hiroyuki Sanada in key roles. It has Todd Garner, E. Bennett Walsh, James Wan, Toby Emmerich, and Simon McQuoid as the producers. Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Jeremy Slater, Ed Boon, and Lawrence Kasanoff have served as the executive producers.

Following its theatrical release, the film received lots of positive reviews from critics and moviegoers. The sequel currently holds a Tomatometer score of 64% and a very impressive Popcornmeter score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. During its box office run, the movie has managed to earn over $125 million so far against a budget of $80 million, according to The Numbers.
