The popular sci-fi horror franchise Riddick has found a new streaming home. These movies are led by Guardians of the Galaxy star Vin Diesel as an escaped convict and warrior who becomes an unlikely hero.

Where can you stream Vin Diesel’s Riddick trilogy?

Starting today, 2000’s Pitch Black, 2004’s The Chronicles of Riddick, and 2013’s Riddick are finally available to stream on Netflix. The franchise was created by director David Twohy, alongside writers Ken and Jim Wheat. It has a combined gross of over $267 million worldwide. All three movies of the franchise have received mixed reviews from critics. However, the first installment was able to get a 77% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Twohy directed all three Riddick movies. The ensemble cast included Rhiana Griffith, Alexa Davalos, Keith David, Radha Mitchell, Cole Hauser, Claudia Black, Simon Burke, Nick Chinlund, Karl Urban, Judi Dench, Thandiwe Newton, and more. The last two installments were also produced by Diesel.

“When their ship crashes on an unexplored planet, the survivors of the crash soon discover that this planet, which is normally always day, is going to soon be in a state of eclipse that will bring out deadly nocturnal creatures,” reads the first movie’s official synopsis. “Will a prison convict, being transported on the ship, end up being the one man who can lead the survivors off the planet?”

In 2023, it was revealed that Diesel and Twohy are coming back for a fourth Riddick movie, titled Riddick: Furya. It will reportedly feature the titular hero returning to his home world, where he discovers that other Furyans are fighting for their existence against a new enemy.
