Evil Dead Wrath Gets Amazing Update, Moves 1 Step Closer To Release Date

Evil Dead Wrath has given a major update. The upcoming horror film is now one step closer to reaching theatres. Fans of the franchise have been eagerly tracking the movie since filming began earlier this year. With the latest news, Evil Dead Wrath is getting closer to its April 7, 2028, release date.

Evil Dead Wrath wraps production

Bloody Disgusting confirmed the production wrap on Saturday, moving the horror film from the filming stage into post-production. This lock on the schedule gives the creative team ample time to refine the final cut ahead of the 2028 premiere.

Francis Galluppi directs the feature from his own script. The filmmaker previously garnered attention for the crime thriller The Last Stop in Yuma County. The upcoming movie assembles a cast that includes Charlotte Hope, Zach Gilford, Jessica McNamee, Josh Helman, Elizabeth Cullen, Ella Newton, and Ella Oliphant.

Sam Raimi returns as producer alongside Rob Tapert. Raimi expressed confidence in Galluppi’s vision. “Francis Galluppi is a storyteller who knows when to keep us waiting in simmering tension and when to hit us with explosive violence,” Raimi earlier told Deadline. “He is a director that shows uncommon control in his feature debut.”

Bruce Campbell, Jose Canas, and Romel Adam serve as executive producers. Plot specifics remain undisclosed, but the story is expected to introduce a new group of characters who encounter the ancient terrors of the Book of the Dead, following the anthology-style format of recent instalments.

Moreover, the franchise is set for a busy period. Sébastien Vaniček’s Evil Dead Burn releases in theatres on July 10, preceding Wrath by nearly two years. With two separate movies in active development under Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema, the series continues to distance itself from a single protagonist model, instead exploring standalone nightmares within the same cursed universe.
