What happens in the Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma trailer?
The trailer for the movie sees Einbinder’s Kris, a young filmmaker struggling with how to reboot the in-universe Camp Miasma horror franchise. She recruits Billy Preston (Anderson), the final girl of the original movie, to step in. Things seem to take a psychedelic turn from here, as the trailer seems to intertwine the real-life happenings with the movie, as well as some of Kris’ own journey through sexuality.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma comes from director Jane Schoenbrun, who previously worked on We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow. Schoenbrun has described the film as “Portrait of a Lady on Fire set in a Friday the 13th sequel.”
The film is led by Einbinder (Hacks) and Anderson, and also stars Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Quintessa Swindell, Kevin McDonald, and Jack Haven as “Little Death.”
