ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive Hot Girl Summer trailer. The upcoming sex comedy movie follows a group of friends embarking on a hilarious journey of self-discovery.

“Three best friends – Inken, Vicky, Lena — embark on a chaotic and hilarious journey to discover the secret to their first ‘big o,'” reads a brief synopsis of the film. Hot Girl Summer is set to release on VOD, leading digital platforms, and Film Movement Plus on July 10, 2026.

What happens in the Hot Girl Summer trailer?

The Hot Girl Summer trailer chronicles the chaotic trip that three girlfriends take one summer in search of their first romantic encounter, and all that comes with it. Along the way, though, it seems like they’ll be discovering a lot about themselves and their friendships along the way. Hot Girl Summer is a reimagining of the 2001 German cult classic film Mädchen, Mädchen. It is directed by Martina Plura from a script written by Kathi Kiesl.

The film stars Kya-Celina Barucki, Julia Novohradsky, Nhung Hong, Zoë Pastelle Holthuizen, Yoran Leicher, Jason Klare, and Jamie-Lee Curt Williams. Marina Schiller, Viola Jäger, Jakob Pochlatko, and Dieter Pochlatko are all attached as producers on the project.

Between bad advice, awkward mishaps, and unexpected crushes — including a bike ride that changes everything — they face friendship drama, body insecurities, and self-discovery in the heat of summer.
