Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza & More Cast in Oscar Winner’s First Movie in 10 Years

Adam Driver has joined an Oscar-winning director’s first movie in 10 years. Apart from him, Aubrey Plaza, Vanessa Kirby, and other notable actors are also in this project.

Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, and others have joined Kenneth Lonergan’s next movie

Adam Driver is now part of Tomorrow Is a Drag, an upcoming film by Kenneth Lonergan. His last movie was 2016’s Manchester by the Sea, which won two Oscars, reports Variety. He has previously worked with the director on his Off-Broadway play Hold On to Me Darling.

Driver’s most recent work includes Paper Tiger by James Gray. Last year, he was featured in the comedy-drama Father Mother Sister Brother. He also appeared in Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis (2024), in which he played Caesar Catilina.

Speaking of the awaited new movie from Lonergan, it also features other acclaimed stars like Matthew Broderick, who previously worked with him on Manchester by the Sea. Broderick is also known for his roles in Glory, No Hard Feelings, and The Producers, among many other projects.

MK2 Films is handling Tomorrow Is a Drag’s international sales. WME is representing the film’s North American rights.

At the moment, all plot details are under wraps for Lonergan’s upcoming movie. If one has to go by the title, it suggests the writer-director may go for a blend of humor and touching character study, similar to Manchester by the Sea and his two previous movies, Margaret and You Can Count on Me.

Tomorrow Is a Drag has Sara Murphy as the producer. She was recently associated with Paul Thomas Anderson’s Oscar-winning One Battle After Another. Production on the film will begin this fall.

The movie is yet to receive an official release date window.
