Twisted Supernatural Horror Movie The Voices of Our Mother Gets Trailer

A new trailer for The Voices of Our Mother has been released.

The Voices of Our Mother is a new supernatural horror movie that is coming to Shudder next month. The movie is written and directed by Mark O’Brien, who also stars in the movie.

What happens in The Voices of Our Mother trailer?

The Voices of Our Mother trailer previews a twisted movie about four children who are reunited after they have to return home to care for their mother. Spooky supernatural things soon start happening, as the family finds themselves face-to-face with an evil that seems to be trying to kill them.

The official synopsis reads, “The film follows Harriet Scaflen after the death of her mother at the age of 95. Harriet then has an unexplainable health scare, bringing her four estranged children to the family home to care for her. As their past animosities and secrets are revealed, they soon realize their mother’s health issues may be supernatural, and the awoken evil inside her is seeking revenge on her children for her own survival.”

In addition to O’Brien, the cast of The Voices of Our Mother includes Sheila McCarthy, Georgina Reilly, Carolina Bartczak, Alex Ozerov-Meyer, and Anna Ferguson. Christopher Giroux and Justin Rebelo produce the movie, while Jesse Ikeman, Nataline Rodrigues, and Bill Marks serve as executive producers.

O’Brien made his feature film directorial debut with 2021’s The Righteous. In addition to The Voices of Our Mother, he has also helmed another horror comedy, Nice People, starring Sosie Bacon and Chloe Bennet. A release date for that movie has not yet been announced. O’Brien has starred in movies such as 2016’s Arrival, 2018’s Bad Times at the El Royale, 2019’s Ready or Not, 2019’s Marriage Story, 2025’s Nuremberg, and more. 

The Voices of Our Mother will be available to stream on Shudder on June 19, 2026.
