2 Netflix Crime Thriller TV Shows & 1 Movie Arrive Today

Netflix has expanded its library with the addition of two new shows and one movie, all of which are set to deliver new crime thriller stories. These shows and movie were produced internationally as Netflix originals.

What are the new crime thriller TV shows and movie now available on Netflix?

The first season of British crime thriller Legends is now officially available to stream on Netflix. The six-episode spy TV show is led by Academy Award nominee Steve Coogan and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga star Tom Burke. It was written and created by Neil Forsyth, with Brady Hood and Julian Holmes directing.

“In the early ’90s, Her Majesty’s Customs and Excise was losing its battle with illegal drug smuggling across Britain’s borders. The solution was extraordinary. In a top-secret operation, a small team of Customs employees was sent undercover. Their task — to infiltrate Britain’s most dangerous drug gangs,” reads the synopsis. “But these were not trained spies. They were normal men and women, plucked from ordinary lives around the UK, put through a basic training regime, and tasked with building new identities in the criminal underworld. These identities were called legends.”

Meanwhile, all six episodes of The Chestnut Man Season 2, called Hide and Seek, have also arrived on Netflix today. The Danish crime thriller series was based on Søren Sveistrup’s novel of the same name. Season 1 centers around two investigators, played by Danica Curcic and Mikkel Boe Følsgaard, trying to find the serial killer behind the gruesome murders of several mothers in Copenhagen. In Season 2, the investigative duo’s newest case involves a cyberstalker using children’s nursery songs.

“After a woman goes missing, the Copenhagen police hunt a stalker who taunts victims with a chilling children’s rhyme,” read the new show logline.

In addition, Netflix has also debuted its newest Thai movie, titled My Dearest Assassin. Unlike the two new TV shows, the movie has a romantic twist to its crime thriller story. The film is directed by Taweewat Wantha, with writing the screenplay Watthana Veerayawatthana. The cast is led by Pimchanok Luevisadpaibul and Tor Thanapob Leeratanakachorn.

“A woman whose rare blood type puts a target on her back finds protection in the arms of the deadly assassin she loves — together, they fight to survive,” reads the synopsis.
