Man of Tomorrow: Superman DCU Movie Adds Huge Scream Star to Cast
Man of Tomorrow has added a huge Scream star to its cast.
DC Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures’ Man of Tomorrow will be released in United States theaters and IMAX next year. Written and directed by James Gunn, the DCU movie serves as a follow-up to 2025’s Superman. David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult are both reprising their roles as Clark Kent/Superman and Lex Luthor.
The cast of Man of Tomorrow also includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Edi Gathegi as Michael Holt/Mister Terrific, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, Isabela Merced as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, María Gabriela de Faría as Angela Spica/The Engineer, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart/Green Lantern, Adria Arjona, and Andre Royo.
Who has joined the cast of Man of Tomorrow?
Per Deadline, it has now been revealed that Matthew Lillard has joined the cast of Man of Tomorrow. It is unclear who he will be playing at this time.
Lillard is known for playing Stu Macher in Wes Craven’s Scream — a role that he recently reprised in 2026’s Scream 7. He starred as a live-action Shaggy in 2002’s Scooby-Doo and 2004’s Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, both of which were written by Gunn, before he then voiced the character in numerous projects. He’s also known for playing William Afton in the Five Nights at Freddy’s movies and Mr. Charles in the now-concluded Daredevil: Born Again Season 2.
Man of Tomorrow is currently in production. The film currently has a July 9, 2027, release date. Before that, DCU projects Supergirl, Lanterns, and Clayface are all scheduled to arrive in 2026. Superman, meanwhile, is available to stream on HBO Max.
