Avatar 4 Star Reveals the Massive Change From Its ‘Epic’ Time Jump

Avatar 4 is expected to take a major leap forward, with one of the film’s cast members revealing an “epic” time jump. The shift will move the story into a new phase, allowing significant changes to both the characters and the world of Pandora. The latest comments have sparked renewed anticipation among fans.

Avatar 4’s time jump to bring a big story change

Avatar 4 will introduce a major shift in its story through a significant time jump, according to Trinity Jo-Li Bliss. The actor who plays Tuk indicated that the story will move forward in time. This allows for further exploration of the central characters as well as new regions of Pandora.

Speaking about the project, Bliss revealed that only a small portion of the film has been shot, covering events before the time jump. She noted that the upcoming sections will explore new ecosystems. In an interview with The Direct, she said, “We filmed like a first little section of it, and that’s before this epic time jump, which is gonna really expand this story from the character’s plans, ecosystems of Pandora, and it’s like…”

The actor added that earlier films have only covered a limited part of what Pandora has to offer. “We barely touched the tip of the iceberg for what we know about this world, and these characters, and how deep they can go,” she explained. 

Bliss also addressed the production timeline, noting that filming on the fourth installment remains in its early stages. She referenced the time gap within the story, highlighting how the younger cast members have aged since initial filming began. “So, I really hope we get to continue it. But yeah, we filmed a wee, little bit, and I do remember it well. Actually, even though I was nine, because it was a time jump type thing… I am now sixteen. Isn’t that kind of insane?” the actor explained. 

Avatar 4 is scheduled for release on December 21, 2029, with Avatar 5 set to follow on December 19, 2031.
