New Timothée Chalamet Movie Continues Streaming Dominance After Debut

Timothée Chalamet’s Oscar-nominated film is reigning supreme on the streaming charts. This comes shortly after it debuted on HBO Max, beating several films that had been dominating the charts for the last few weeks.

Marty Surpreme beats The Devil Wears Prada to claim top spot on HBO Max charts

According to Flix Patrol’s April 28 data, Marty Supreme is the #1 film on HBO Max’s Top 10 list in the United States. It debuted on the platform last week, on April 23, and has quickly taken the top spot. Notably, it has held that rank since April 26, showcasing a strong demand, especially after it received nine Oscar nominations this year, including two for the Dune actor.

Furthermore, Marty Supreme has overtaken The Devil Wears Prada. The Anne Hathaway-starrer has been in the Top 10 for several weeks, due to the release of its sequel this week. The list also includes Sidney Sweeney’s Christy at #3, Mads Mikkelsen’s Dust Bunny at #4, Brendan Fraser’s The Mummy at #6, and Jenna Ortega’s The Fallout at #7.

Marty Supreme is directed by Josh Safdie, who also co-wrote it with Ronald Bronstein. It is loosely based on table tennis player Marty Reisman’s memoir, The Money Player: The Confessions of America’s Greatest Table Tennis Champion and Hustler.

The cast features Timothée Chalamet as Marty Mauser, Gwyneth Paltrow as Kay, Odessa A’zion as Rachel, Kevin O’Leary as Milton, Tyler Okonma as Wally, and Fran Drescher as Rebecca, among others. The Call Me by Your Name star also co-produced it.

Marty Supreme centers on Marty, a shoe salesman who aspires to become a world-champion table tennis player and bring attention to the sport in America. It debuted in theaters on December 25, 2025. On Rotten Tomatoes, it holds a “Certified Fresh” score of 93%, while the audience has given it an 82% rating. The critical acclaim helped the film gross $191 million worldwide.
