Elden Ring movie set videos and photos hit the internet

Several photos and videos from the set of the Elden Ring movie have dropped. Filming is reportedly taking place on location across the United Kingdom, including Scotland. Parts of it will also reportedly be shot in Iceland (via Iceland Monitor).

One set picture and video put the spotlight on Dung Eater, an important NPC and quest-giver from the video game. They show him hanging from the gallows, while leaves fly over and hit him.

Moreover, another image and clip focus on Queen Marika, played by Mayor of Kingstown star Emma Laird. Sporting the character’s recognizable blue gown from the game, she walks towards something.

In the source material, Marika is the most influential figure due to being a Numen god, the Elden Ring’s vessel, and the divine ruler of the Lands Between.

Finally, yet another video shows Heartstopper breakout Kit Connor on set, wearing a black jacket and looking at passersby and smiling, while surrounded by some people.

Elden Ring premieres in theaters on March 3, 2028, and will be filmed for IMAX screens. Alex Garland, known for his work on the 28 Days Later series, Civil War, Men, and Warfare, is directing the film from his script. Meanwhile, the producing team includes George R.R. Martin, who handled the game’s worldbuilding, Andrew Macdonald, Allon Reich, Peter Rice, and Vince Gerardis.

In addition to Connor and Laird, the feature will star Ben Whishaw, Cailee Spaeny, Tom Burke, Havana Rose Liu, Sonoya Mizuno, Jonathan Pryce, Ruby Cruz, Nick Offerman, John Hodgkinson, Jefferson Hall, and Peter Serafinowicz.

Meanwhile, the Elden Ring video game launched on February 25, 2022, on PS4, PS5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, with a Nintendo Switch 2 version on the way. Following its release, it sold over 30 million copies and won numerous Game of the Year awards.
