Arjona took to Instagram story to share a video, where the camera was faced towards her back as she did heavy lifts. In the background, she added the music of Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne. She also tagged Mascitti, who had also been a personal trainer of Corenswet, helping him bulk up for his superhero role.
Arjona’s story was further reposted by Mascitti. Before that, he also posted a mirror selfie of himself and Arjona standing in front of an uncleaned glass, with numbers written on it.
According to the comics, Maxima is the queen of Almerec, a world-conquering despot, and a love interest of Superman. Later, she also reformed herself to become a protagonist and a member of the Justice League. The upcoming movie centers on Superman and Lex Luthor being forced to band together to defeat their common enemy, Brainiac.
Maxima’s confirmed appearance has led many to wonder whether James Gunn is loosely adapting the Panic in the Sky comic. In it, she initially works with Brainiac but later turns against him. Brainiac attempts to invade Earth but is eventually confronted by Superman and several other heroes. This storyline appears to match a bit with what is currently known about the upcoming movie’s plot so far. So, there’s a possibility.
Arjona is popularly known for her solid performances in Good Omens, Emerald City, Andor, Morbius, Blink Twice, and others. Man of Tomorrow will hit theatres on July 9, 2027.
