Apex’s Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton on their first celebrity crushes

Charlize Theron and Taron Egerton interviewed each other while climbing walls ahead of the premiere of Apex. The pair came up with hidden questions and surprises about the filming. The first question was about revealing their first celebrity crush. “Oh, really?” Theron said. She further exclaimed, “Oh my God, I can’t climb and think!” As such, the Kingsman: The Secret Service star decided to reveal his. “I went on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, and said that mine was Rachel Weisz,” he said.

Egerton continued, “Some years later, I went on a talk show with Rachel Weisz, and they brought out the clip of me. And I started sweating in front of her. It was absolutely horrendous.” Subsequently, Theron shared, “This is how old I am. Mine is Richard Dean Anderson.” She questioned everyone around her, “Who knows who that is?” and Egerton replied that he didn’t know.

“Right, nobody. I’m a f**king dinosaur,” Theron quipped. For the unaware, Anderson is a veteran actor known for his roles in General Hospital and MacGyver. He is widely considered a handsome and charming icon, so Theron’s crush on him is no surprise. Theron and Egerton continued to ask each other questions while climbing walls to recreate their scenes in the upcoming film.

Egerton also joked, “Did they tell you that my wall is actually a harder grade of wall?” He continued, “So, if Charlie races up the wall ahead of me, it’s because her wall is an easier wall.” Theron chuckled and replied, “Bulls**t.” Meanwhile, in his interview for Outside, Egerton mentioned how climbing in the film was challenging. “The climbing I do in the movie involves quite specific upper-body strength, because I can’t use my legs. It was no joke,” he said. Egerton also feared heights, so overcoming challenges was a personal victory for him.
