Jordan Peele’s New Movie Gets ‘Frustrating’ Update
Jordan Peele‘s next movie remains clouded in mystery following a frustrating update about the project’s status.
What’s the latest update on Jordan Peele’s new movie?
Recently on social media, a fan asked The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider about the status of a handful of movies, including Jordan Peele’s unknown fourth movie. Sneider commented on Peele’s movie specifically, noting that Peele continues to write his movie, which has “frustration” mounting at Universal.
Sneider didn’t mention much else about the movie, but the mention does at least confirm that Peele continues to work on the movie. As of now, it remains mostly unknown exactly what Peele is working on. While Peele has briefly commented on the film in 2024, noting that what the movie is is “clear” to him, it remains a mystery to everyone involved.
Peele has been working on his highly anticipated fourth movie since 2022, when he released the hit sci-fi horror film Nope. Peele’s fourth movie was originally set to be released in 2024, but was pulled from Universal’s schedule following the 2023 Hollywood strikes. Universal then set a new release date, October 23, 2026, for the film, but that was also removed from the studio’s calendar last year.
Prior to Nope, Peele’s worked on a number of movies in a producer role. The director has been attached to 2024’s Monkey Man and 2025’s Him as a producer, but he hasn’t written a project since 2022’s Wendell & Wild, which he also voiced.
